Why liquidity pools matter on the XRP Ledger
The XRP Ledger has its own built-in exchange. An automated market maker (AMM) pool holds reserves of two assets, so people can swap between them without waiting for a specific buyer or seller.
The AMM sets its rate from the pool's current balances. Every trade changes those balances and can change the rate for the next trade.
A larger, deeper pool can usually handle a bigger trade with a smaller price impact, meaning the trade moves its rate less. That makes pools a useful way to trade $DROP directly on the XRP Ledger.

THE MAIN POOL
XRP / DROP
The XRP / DROP pool is the main place to buy and sell $DROP on the XRP Ledger. When someone buys $DROP, XRP goes into the pool and $DROP comes out, generally pushing its price up. Selling works the opposite way.
The bigger the pool, the easier it is to handle larger trades without moving the price too much. Community members can continue adding liquidity and earning trading fees.

Think of the XRP / DROP pool as a shared pot containing XRP and $DROP. Instead of waiting for another person to buy or sell, you trade directly with the pool.
When people buy $DROP, they add XRP and take out $DROP. This changes the balance of both tokens and generally pushes the price higher. When people sell, $DROP goes back in and XRP comes out, generally pushing the price lower. This is how the pool helps determine the market price of $DROP.
XRP's dollar price can also affect the dollar value of tokens paired with it. For example, if XRP rises from $2 to $4 and the XRP / DROP exchange rate stays the same, $DROP's dollar price would also double. But swaps change the pool's balances, so the AMM adjusts the exchange rate. Traders and bots compare prices across pools and exchanges; buying $DROP where it is cheaper and selling where it is more expensive can move the pool's rate toward prices elsewhere. So a 100% rise in XRP does not guarantee a 100% rise in $DROP's dollar price.
Why does having a big pool matter?
Imagine trying to buy £10,000 worth of $DROP. In a small pool, that purchase could move the price dramatically. In a much larger pool, the same purchase generally has less impact. That's why deeper liquidity is so important, especially for larger traders.
What happened to part of the original liquidity?
At launch in October 2024, part of the original XRP / DROP pool ownership was sent as LP tokens to a blackhole wallet. LP tokens represent a share of a pool, so making them permanently inaccessible was intended to stop the original owner from withdrawing that share while allowing trading to continue. These are LP tokens, not $DROP tokens. This did not burn or remove $DROP from the token supply. Verify the wallet on XRPLScan: rK8i2WFrGAvVvRxYyuVKhmqwWqXt2CUhTi.
The rest of the pool can grow as community members deposit XRP and $DROP. In return, they receive a share of the pool and can earn trading fees. Buying and selling also continually changes how much XRP and $DROP the pool contains.
Together, this makes XRP / DROP the main trading pool for $DROP, combining its original liquidity foundation with ongoing community participation and trading activity.

THE MEME COIN POOLS
DROP / MEME COINS
DROP doesn't just trade against XRP. It also has liquidity pools paired with other meme coins on the XRP Ledger, allowing people to swap directly between $DROP and those tokens.
These pools connect different communities and create more ways to trade. As prices move across the XRP Ledger, traders and automated bots can spot opportunities between pools, helping buying and selling activity spread across the ecosystem.
Community members can also deposit tokens into these pools, adding liquidity and potentially earning a share of trading fees.

Think of each meme coin pool as another trading route connected to DROP. For example, imagine DROP has pools with FUZZY and ARMY. Someone can swap FUZZY directly for $DROP, while someone else can swap ARMY for $DROP, without first needing to exchange everything into XRP.
So how does liquidity flow between these pools?
Each pool holds its own two tokens. When someone trades, the balance changes, which also changes the price offered by that pool.
Now imagine XRP rises in value, or one of the meme coins suddenly becomes popular. Prices across different trading pairs may move at different speeds. Traders and automated bots can spot those differences, buying through a cheaper route and selling through a more expensive one.
This is called arbitrage. It helps bring prices closer together and can create additional trading activity across connected pools.
Can this create buying pressure for DROP?
Yes, depending on the direction of trading. If demand for a paired meme coin increases, traders may use $DROP to reach it, creating activity in the DROP pool. Some trading routes may involve buying $DROP, while others involve selling it. That means rising activity in other meme coins can create opportunities for DROP, but it doesn't automatically make $DROP's price rise.
And why does having more liquidity matter?
Larger pools generally allow bigger trades with less slippage, meaning traders can buy or sell without moving the price as dramatically.
Community members can help build these pools by depositing both tokens. In return, they receive a share of the pool and may earn fees whenever people trade through it.
Together, these pools create a connected network of trading routes, bringing different XRPL communities together while making $DROP more accessible across the ecosystem.
XRPL AMM POOL FEES
Who Decides the Trading Fee?
A pool trading fee is a small percentage charged when someone swaps through that pool. It stays in the pool and adds to the assets shared by liquidity providers. Each pool sets its own rate, so fees can differ between $DROP pairs.
On the XRP Ledger, eligible providers can vote on their pool's fee. A provider needs at least 0.001% of its LP tokens to vote. Up to eight of the largest eligible voters count, with each vote weighted by the LP tokens they hold; the AMM combines those votes to set the fee. DROP's team does not set every pool's rate.
This pool fee is separate from the XRP network transaction fee, paid in XRP to submit a transaction. It does not go to liquidity providers. The scale shows the current XRP / DROP pool fee; it can range from 0% to 1%.

EARN FROM LIQUIDITY
When you add both assets held by a pool, you receive LP tokens showing your share of it. Think of the pool like a pie: if you own 10% of its LP tokens, you own 10% of the pool's assets and fees.
For a simple example, if a pool handles $1,000,000 in swaps and the full amount pays a 0.30% fee, it collects about $3,000 in gross trading fees ($1,000,000 × 0.30%). A provider with a steady 10% share would have about $300 of that fee value added to their position.
If that same volume and fee continued each day, the example would be about $300 a day, $2,100 over seven days or $9,000 over 30 days. These are hypothetical figures, not an earnings forecast: they assume your share, trading volume and fee stay constant and ignore changes in token prices and pool balances.
Fees generally remain in the pool and are reflected in the assets represented by your LP tokens; they are not automatically paid out as daily cash. As prices and pool balances change, your share may be worth less than simply holding the tokens you deposited. This is called impermanent loss, and fees may not cover it. High volume does not guarantee a profitable position.
HOW IT WORKS
- 1ADD BOTH ASSETS
Put both tokens from your chosen pair into the pool.
- 2RECEIVE LP TOKENS
These represent your share of the pool.
- 3FEES STAY IN THE POOL
Your share may grow as swaps add fees; they are not paid out automatically.
Why $DROP Uses Multiple Pools
We believe liquidity is one of the foundations of a strong meme coin. That's why we've built more than just the main XRP / DROP pool, connecting $DROP with other XRP Ledger meme coins through additional trading pools.
Each pool creates another way to buy and sell $DROP, brings different communities together and helps build deeper liquidity across the ecosystem. As trading activity grows, these connected markets can create more opportunities for traders, liquidity providers and the wider DROP community.
How the numbers are calculated
Pool balances and transactions come from the XRP Ledger. We use them to calculate values and fee returns; here is how.
APR
Potential Trading Fee Earnings
APR estimates what liquidity providers could earn in trading fees over a year, based on the last 7 days. It's not guaranteed, and it doesn't include potential losses from price changes.
TOTAL LIQUIDITY
Every Pool Counts
We add up the value of tokens held in every $DROP liquidity pool, including the smallest ones. All values are shown in US dollars.
DISCOVERY
Automatically Updated
Our website automatically finds $DROP liquidity pools on the XRP Ledger. When new pools appear, they're included without anyone having to add them manually.
- Replay every transaction
Every transaction that touches the pool is replayed in ledger order. The pool balances and LP token supply before and after each transaction are read directly from its ledger record.
- Measure what LP tokens actually earned
For an equal-weight XLS-30 AMM, the relationship between the pool's two balances and its LP token supply is unaffected by price movements or proportional liquidity changes. It increases when fees remain in the pool. Tracking that change transaction by transaction measures the fee income earned per LP token, independent of price.
- Capture the fees other methods miss
Multi-path payments are included in full, even when a single payment crosses the pool multiple times. Fees from single-asset deposits and withdrawals are included too, because those fees remain with liquidity providers.
- Verify everything against the Ledger
Every replayed step is checked against the XRP Ledger. If the previous pool balances recorded by a transaction do not match the replayed state, calculations stop updating and the operator is alerted.
Fees earned. Fee income is valued in XRP at the time it was earned, with its USD value shown using the current XRP/USD rate.
Not counted. Auction-slot bids and other changes to the pool are tracked separately and are never treated as trading fees.
Checked hourly. A second, conventional trade-based calculation runs alongside the primary method as a cross-check. The replayed state must exactly match the Ledger, both histories must identify the same swaps, and single-path fee calculations must agree within 0.3%.
Historical result 1. Over the measured 7-day period, the largest single-path difference was 0.086% for the XRP pool, caused by XRP amounts being rounded to whole drops and remaining in the pool. Token-paired pools agreed within 4 parts in 10 billion.
Historical result 2. The conventional method captured 91.7% of the XRP pool's measured fee income and 99.2-100% for the other pools. The difference comes primarily from multi-path payments - which is why the full pool-state method is used as the primary calculation.
Historical results measured over 7 days on 25 September 2026, from ledger 107,045,367.
